The golf course is Audobon Certified; where golf course design and ongoing maintenance is dedicated to preserving native wetlands and woodlands located throughout the community.  The PGA Professional staff is dedicated to enhancing the skills and enjoyment for the game for all Pelican Sound homeowners and their guests.

There are eight lighted Har Tru/ Hydro Grid tennis courts for homeowners to entertain and build camaraderie among their neighbors.  For skills development and quality of life improvements; there is a robust cardio and fitness program operating from the Racquet Complex.  Friendly matches among neighbors, Round Robin tournaments, and League teams representing Pelican Sound at UTSA levels from 2.5 to 4.0; keep the Racquet Complex a busy and exciting place to experience.

Pelican Sound has a Pickle Ball Committee that offers weekly lessons for newcomer homeowners to the game.  They also oversee neighborhood leagues within Pelican Sound and a Travel Team and monitor the play on eight courts and two sport courts.

The Pelican Sound shuttle boat embarks from the community’s River Club dock, and offers peaceful cruises on the Estero River, and also ventures through Estero Bay to Lovers Key State Park for homeowners to enjoy the gulf beaches.  These cruises usually are for a two-hour period.  Homeowners also enjoy and exclusive boat ramp and launch where they may keep a trailer nearby throughout that day being on the water.  There is a secure gated dry land area where up to 125 homeowners may keep their boat on trailers. The community accounting office handles the lease payments and waiting list.

Last but not the least is Pelican Sound Bocce!  The community has 5 courts and hosts both a neighborhood league and a competitive travel team competing with other SWFL communities.
